Sewing machines

Information for collectors - History of sewing machines

This site informs about my historical patent collections around sewing machine technique.

In former times sewing machines play an important role in the industrial development of many countries. Historical patents are an interesting information source for collecting and studying of old sewing machines. There are a lot of such historical patents, most of them from the USA. They are very informative, because patents contain an exact description of the invention and often detailed drawings of the sewing machines or parts of it.

I can deliver the patents as patent collection on CD (sometimes one collection has two CDs). Each patent is stored in the wellknown pdf - formate, so that you can open, read and also print each file with any of common pdf readers like Acrobat reader.

Partly the collections contain also an Excel table with important patent datas, like patent number, date of issue, title of the patent and sometimes also inventor and/or owner of the patent. The table is linked directly to the patent files so that each patent will be open easily if you click on the link of the patent. But of course you can use the CD also without using the Excel file by direct opening of each pdf file.

I deliver my patent collections via airmail letters after payment via Paypal (Euro, US Dollar, Pound) or bank account transfer (only in Euro). The shipping price is 5 US Dollar / 3.65 Euro (to Germany lower rate on request).
